Rompers?! + Montreal =)

Aloha♥!

So I just got back from Montreal on Thursday. I went for 3 activity jam-packed days with my class and it's very nice there, especially Old Montreal.

We went rock climbing, bowling, Cirque de Soleil performance training, the famous Sugar Shack, the Montreal biodome, a cruise (we got a tour of Montreal at night and there was a huge dance in the lounge) and the Notre Dame Basilica (It.Is.GORGEOUS.) and more.

Anyways, I went shopping a day before I left to add to my summer wardrobe. My friend has been going on about rompers, so I came across some when I went shopping, and they're practically everywhere! Keep in mind, I haven't been shopping at the mall in a few weeks. It's been busy though.

I think they're totally cute, and I need to add them to my Spring/Summer Hot Trends 2012 blog post. There are denim ones, floral ones, strapless ones, sleeved ones, etc. There's a lot of variety with them. They are perfect for pretty much everything too! Besides, if you're like me, and not too fond of skirts, this can be a great alternative.

There's also the added bonus of not having to worry about anything flying up and anyone seeing anything.

So this one here, I bought at Urban Planet. It was only $16, which is really great. I had to exchange it for this top that I didn't end up liking on me.

^ Haha, don't mind the background, I was in my brother's room. I also just noticed my legs look super white. :| I need to tan!

Anyway, I haven't had a chance to wear the romper out yet, but I'm hoping to get an opportunity soon. But I just love these things!

Red lipstick

Red Lipstick: Trashy or Classy?!

This is just a quick blog post I wanted to make about wearing red lipstick. So, this blog URL use to be "classy red lips girl", but I changed it because I like my current one better. So, you pretty much already know my opinion on this.

But, I know there has always been debate upon this topic. Some people believe red lipstick looks messy, clownish, or slutty. But I believe if you wear it correctly, it will look bold and beautiful.

Seldom times will I be out and see people with bright red lipstick, that's just the truth flat out. I think it makes you stand out from everyone else. Let's face it, plain old pink lip glosses can be boring sometimes.

I have a few tips for you, if you're kind of afraid to go for that red lip. Try to build the rest of your face makeup around the lipstick. Meaning, you have to keep the rest of your face fairly simple, especially with the eye makeup. Wearing red lipstick with nude eyeshadow and cat liner is a classic look that I personally just LOVE.

You should also make sure the red doesn't clash with your skin tone. Another tip if you're afraid of it looking a little slutty, don't wear it with a short dress. ;)

Lip stains do last longer than the lipstick would and I suppose wouldn't be as 'messy', if you're worried about that.

Here's basically the golden rule with wearing red lipstick: Classy, if worn with neutral eye makeup and a sophisticated outfit. Trashy, if worn with heavy eye makeup and the wrong outfit.

If you really want to wear red lipstick, go ahead and don't worry what anyone else thinks. YOLO, right? (Haha, I'm so cool...not)
